- always wash hands before cleaning your piercing
- clean piercings two or three times a day with sterile saline (NO ALCOHOL OR PEROXIDE!)
- keep jewelry in for six to eight weeks before you change
- no submerging under water
- do not twist or touch your piercingÂ
- piercings can take anywhere from four months to a year to heal

- rinse mouth with water after eating, drinking and smoking
- don't eat or drink anything with yeast (yogurt/beer)
